A huge congratulations to Edmar Oliveira and Channell Arias on being recognized as recipients of the Massachusetts Seal of Biliteracy! Yesterday, students were celebrated at the Josiah Quincy Upper School alongside peers from across the city for this incredible achievement in multilingualism and academic excellence. They join the following Snowden students in earning this recognition: Andrii Balkovyi Carlota Vera Rodriguez Cristal Pineda Kenneth Omar Francisco Valerio Cindy Batista Carlos Carmona Alejandro Mejia Montoya Leudy Valerio We are incredibly proud of all of our students for representing the strength and diversity of the Snowden community!
There was a devised performance by our IB juniors followed by world theatre tradition presentations and two additional collaborative performances from our seniors in the Lyric Stage Theater where the staff were incredibly helpful with our Showcase event.
The gallery showcased students' experiments with acrylic paint and a body of their independent work. Our IB students mingled with underclassmen to engage with them about the work and discuss their process. (Reported by Mr. Sullivan)
